Of course, we can sit here and say music is dead when all you do is put on MTV, BET,VH1, and all your local radio stations to look for inspiration or listen to something reminiscent of the past.If you are only interested in billboard's top 40 or how many units the album sold before you go and actually buy the album you are not a fan of creativity or style you are a "SUCKA"
This isn't about a lack of "substance." Usually that's what people think this boils down to, that no one is making records like Public Enemy ,Nirvana,Marvin Gaye,etc...anymore. you are wrong there are tons of artist that make some great music that you are just not searching for BC you are caught up with the "BIG BUDGET" artist that has no substance and the labels are looking to make a quick buck out of them, or your local radio station is feeding you the song a hundred times a day and your brain is on repeat, so you begin thinking its actually a good song....YOU IDIOT
Sad to say that cars, clothes, jewelry and females have become apparently far more interesting than the music. We have rampant ghost writing beat & lyric jacking no originality, It's all terribly boring and tedious on the Billboard, radio and t.v,.and that goes for all genres of music, since Hip Hop has become the influence to alot of genres."So Elevate your minds and search for your music and stop complaining. BY THOSE FUNKY SOUNDBOX DUDES...
